Frequently Asked Questions
Q How do players solve my custom sliding puzzle?
When players click your shared link, the play console decrypts the image path and grid settings locally in their browser. They can solve the puzzle by sliding tiles into the blank space or swapping them, depending on the rules you set.
Q Is my uploaded custom image private?
Absolutely. If you paste a remote web URL, it is encrypted locally. If you upload a local image file, it is securely uploaded to Cloudinary to generate a web URL so that it can be decrypted by whoever opens your challenge link, leaving no traces on our databases.
Q Can I test my custom puzzle before sharing?
Yes! After clicking "Create Puzzle" in the generator, use the "Try Playing Your Puzzle" button at the bottom of the sharing drawer to open and test your challenge in a new tab.
Q What is the difference between Classic Sliding and Swap modes?
In Classic Sliding mode, the puzzle contains one empty slot, and tiles can only slide into adjacent spaces. In Swap mode, players can drag and drop any tile to swap positions with another, resembling a jumbled grid puzzle.
Q What grid sizes can I choose for custom puzzles?
You can select grid dimensions of 3x3 (9 pieces), 4x4 (16 pieces), 5x5 (25 pieces), and 6x6 (36 pieces). Smaller grids are great for quick casual plays, whereas 5x5 and 6x6 grids offer an intense brain workout.
