Frequently Asked Questions
Q How does the Custom Challenge creator work?
You design a minefield layout by clicking cells in the editor grid. When you click generate, the coordinates of all your placed mines are serialized, encrypted locally in your browser using a secure XOR cipher, and appended as a parameter in the URL. Anyone loading that URL will play your exact board.
Q Is there a limit to how many mines I can place?
You can place as many mines as there are cells in your grid. However, we recommend keeping the mine count under 30% of the total cells to keep the game playable and fun without excessive guessing.
Q Are my custom puzzles stored on a database?
No. The entire encryption and link generation runs client-side. No board layouts or custom games are sent to our servers, ensuring 100% privacy and instant link loading.
Q How do I share my custom Minesweeper challenge?
Once you click "Generate Challenge Link", copy the URL from the card. You can send it directly, or click the quick-share buttons to post it to WhatsApp, Facebook, or Twitter.
